The Swimmer vest is a durable and warming warning vest for outdoor activities, swimming, paddle surfing, water rescue, rehabilitation and hunting. The vest is made of elastic neoprene that does not absorb water. The material is durable and silent in use. The neoprene vest has excellent thermal insulation properties and is therefore particularly suitable for water rescue dogs and for retrieving bird dogs that work in colder weather. The vest's floating parts provide support when the dog swims. The vest's belly piece protects the dog's sensitive stomach area.
The back of the vest has a zipper attachment where the locking mechanism of the pull tab prevents the zipper from opening while the dog is moving. The tight fit makes the vest ergonomic and safe. In the back of the vest there are handle openings to help the dog out of the water. The stomach part of the vest can be shaped with scissors, e.g. for male dogs. Inside the vest are printed lines that show how the stomach piece should be shaped. When shaping the belly piece, it is good to use scissors and you should not cut across the seams.
The modern camouflage version of the swimmer vest has built-in buoyancy. The floating parts made of EVA cell plastic provide extra support when the dog is swimming and help to cope better in the water. The safety vest's buoyancy has been tested by experts at the Occupational Health Institute in Finland. The safety vest is not a life jacket, but helps to improve the dog's performance when swimming.
The camouflage version is also treated with Clariant, which provides effective protection against mosquitoes, ticks and other insects. The fabric is dermatologically tested and certified and does not emit any harmful substances. Sanitized®-treated textiles are dermatologically tested and safe for the dog. The material can withstand machine washing according to the washing council and the treatment retains its properties for up to a hundred washes. The Sanitized® treatment is used in e.g. camouflage suits, hiking and hunting equipment as well as in tents and sleeping bags.
