The sleeping bag has a zipper that goes halfway up this to make the sleeping bag easy to get in and out of and to avoid unnecessary weight and size. The neck collar can be folded in so that cold wind does not enter. If extra warmth is needed to protect from ground cold, there is a compartment for a sleeping pad underneath.
