Measure from the withers to the root of the tail.

The length of the coat is measured from the tightening at the nape to the center of the back cut (or to the tail opening on the terrier model). The blanket is a few cm longer than the dog's back measurement to go down and cover the dog's bottom and thighs. The tightening in the neck comes roughly between the shoulder blades of the dog, slightly in front if you tighten the blanket around the neck, and the root of the tail should be roughly in the middle of the incision so that it is long enough to lay over the hips. Therefore, measure the dog between the lines in the illustration below.

NOTE - Ambassador and Thermo are cut to the same size. The Thermo appears slimmer and a bit smaller than the same size Ambassador because it fills more with softshell on the outside and thick wool inside. It is therefore possible for the dog to have a smaller size in the Ambassador than in the Thermo.

This is how to put the cover on

1. Pull over the head.

2. Tighten the neck.

3. Attach the part that goes down under the chest and over the back.

4. Attach the part that goes between the front legs and adjust the elastic if necessary.

5. Tighten your back so that the tire lies down over your thighs and buttocks.

Canelana Ambassador is a really warm coat that fits well in cold and dry weather or when the dog needs to lie down and wait in the car when it's cold. Perfect to wear on the dog before and after training. The coat is not waterproof or windproof but warms very well as wool warms even when it is wet. Wool is not static and does not attract bad odors.

This wool coat fits snugly in the front thanks to the ribbing at the neck and makes it easier to put on and take off the blanket. Around the waist there is an adjustable strap with a quick release buckle and there is also the option to adjust the fit with a drawstring in the neck and back.

The blanket also comes in a terrier model that has an opening at the back for tails that stand straight up. These are available in sizes XS SS/M and M.

Canelana wool coats

- The dog coats do not have an opening for a harness, but it is worn on the outside of the coat.

- The coats are available in three different models for the best fit. Standard, terrier and dachshund where the terrier model has an opening at the back for tails that stand straight up and the dachshund model that fits dog breeds with shorter legs and a longer torso.

- Covers the back and thighs perfectly and protects the vital organs and large muscle groups.

Why wool?

Wool has three great properties - it warms, insulates and breathes. Keeping the dog's muscles warm both before and after walking and exercise can prevent injuries and help the dog recover faster. The dog's body therefore does not need to use unnecessary energy to keep the body temperature up.

The wool coat is useful for all dogs regardless of breed. Especially good for older dogs, dogs with injuries or osteoarthritis as they will have poorer blood circulation and thus freeze more easily.
