Canelana Thermo is one of our warmest dog coats. It has a thick and fluffy wool lining and a softshell outer fabric that resists wind and water while being breathable. Fits well in both rain and debris as well as really cold winter weather. The coat covers the back and thighs perfectly and protects the vital organs and large muscle groups.

At the front there is a ribbed fabric for good flexibility when dressing and undressing. It has an adjustable strap around the stomach, at the neck and at the back to be able to adjust to the best possible fit.

The terrier model has an opening at the back for tails that stand straight up.

The dachshund model is suitable for dachshunds and other short-legged breeds with a slightly longer body.

Frequently asked questions about Canelana

Where does the wool come from?

The wool comes mainly from Poland, Germany and Estonia.

Where are Canelana's products made?

Canelana's products are designed in Norway and manufactured in Poland. Poland is an EU country, and all conditions in the production companies are covered by EU rules.

Which size should I choose?

The warming coats from Canelana are quite large in size and we recommend choosing a size smaller, especially in Ambassador and Selva. The Thermo and Touring covers are not perceived as the same size due to their softshell, so we recommend choosing the smaller size if the dog's measurements fall between two sizes.

Why wool?

Wool has three great properties - it warms, insulates and breathes. Keeping the dog's muscles warm both before and after walking and exercise can prevent injuries and help the dog recover faster. The dog's body therefore does not need to use unnecessary energy to keep the body temperature up.

The wool coat is useful for all dogs regardless of breed. Especially good for older dogs, dogs with injuries or osteoarthritis as they will have poorer blood circulation and thus freeze more easily.
